We welcome you to our wedding website. As many of you know, this day has been longgg overdue (“thanks for that Mason!” – Paige). The beginning of our love story is as traditional as they come… guy meets girl. Guy asks girl out … many times. As Paige remembers it, Mason asked her out 8 times before she said yes. Mason only recalls asking twice… You can decide who’s telling the truth.
We met each other at Gartner (aka G-harmony) through our mutual friend, Mel Trejo. Mason was deeply impressed by Paige’s work ethic, intelligence, and of course, her beauty. Paige thought Mason was a flirt with terrible taste in clothing. Over time we became friends and Paige started to see the real Mason. His authenticity, charm, and simply his persistence in bringing her Starbucks Cold Brew every day, wore her down and she agreed to go out and grab drinks at Connors with him.
What happened next was hands down the most magical first date ever recorded in modern history. Paige learned all about the battlefield tactics of Hannibal Barca at the Battle of Canne. It was a legitimate learning session inclusive of hand drawn images of Hannibal Barca’s reverse crescent battle formation tactic to defeat the Romans. To (I’m sure) everyone’s surprise … this earned Mason a second date. Fast forward to Christmas of 2021 … Paige gifted Mason a custom Battle of Canne art piece that still hangs above the couch in his wolf den.
Over the last four years together, we have discovered our love for travel. Whether it’s traveling just the two of us, with family, or with friends, we always have the most amazing time. We also found our favorite restaurant together – Harold’s Restaurant. During our first Harold’s dinner, Paige said to Mason “I mean, I’ve been referring to you as my boyfriend for the last two weeks behind your back. So… are you my boyfriend?” Many dinner dates have taken place at Harold’s – this includes celebrating Valentine’s Day, New Years, and numerous birthdays. Most importantly, these last four years have taught us that we are the partner we’ve always needed. Although we are very different people in terms of our hobbies, interests, and what counts as ‘relaxing’, we complement each other perfectly. This has led to a fulfilling partnership. We have set goals for ourselves, each other, and most importantly, our future together. We challenge and push one another to be the best versions of ourselves and to never settle for mediocracy in anything we do.
2023: the year where Mason tortured Paige by saying “When you least expect it, expect it” multiple times a day. He was referring to our engagement. We went to the Florida Keys, a family fishing trip, nice dinner dates in Naples and still no ring. Obviously, the proposal needed to happen at (you guessed it) Harold’s. Mason’s exact words were “Will you be my Abigail Adams?” We will spare you another history lesson… all you need to know is that it’s a high compliment.
We can’t wait for the festivities to begin. Thank you for being part of our story!
Hope you’re ready to #PartyWithThePraters!
